Established in 2008, Habitus Mode Ltd is a small, innovative design-driven practice focused primarily on residential houses, educational facilities, multi-unit terraced housing, and light commercial developments.

We approach each brief, each client, and each site as a unique opportunity. We believe that successful buildings, of all sizes are designed to enrich the lives of the people who occupy them and improve the quality of their surroundings.

We provide a complete architectural service from design concept to council approval, detailed design and documentation, and contract administration.

Our clients are the basis of our practice, and many return to us and refer us to friends and colleagues. A successful design meets our clients needs and exceeds their expectations. We see budgetary constraints as a generator rather than a limit to innovation. Each project is independently costed at sketch design and reviewed at each design stage to completion.

Our experience spans small interior refurbishments, alterations + additions to larger bespoke houses, boutique bungalows + villas, and multi-unit residential terrace developments.  We have extensive experience with council regulations and consent application processes.

We believe that great buildings result from great clients. Design is an interactive process. We encourage our clients to be involved and collaborate in design decision-making throughout their projects. We endeavour to communicate with, educate and assist our clients throughout this process, so the experience of designing and building a home or other project is rewarding and satisfying.
